Treclin gel is a prescription only medication commonly used in the treatment of mild to moderate acne in teenagers and young adults. It contains the active ingredients Tretinoin (a retinoid) and Clindamycin (an antibiotic). This combination helps to reduce redness and inflammation, whilst also fighting the growth of bacteria associated with acne. Tretinoin works by normalizing the growth of skin cells and enabling normal shedding of cells, which can clog hair follicles in acne prone areas of the skin. This prevents the build-up of sebum (oil) and the formation of blackheads and whiteheads.

How to use Treclin gel?
Treclin gel should be used once a day at bedtime. Before application be sure to clean your skin with a mild cleanser and allow to dry. Apply a thin layer of Treclin gel evenly over the acne affected area(s), not just each spot, using your fingertips to gently rub in. Take care to wash your hands thoroughly before and after use.
Treclin gel should not be applied to areas of broken skin. Avoid contact with the mouth, eyes, and mucous membranes. Be careful when applying to sensitive areas of skin. In case of accidental contact with the eyes, rinse with plenty of lukewarm water.
How long does it take to work?
When using Treclin gel once daily for the treatment of acne, it may take several weeks before noticing visible improvements in the condition of your skin. Treclin gel should be used regularly for treatment to be effective and for optimal results.

When using Treclin gel some people may experience a mild stinging sensation, irritation or tenderness of the skin, a slight burning sensation, dryness and/or peeling of the skin.
